I hope everyone is having a great day!
On my last blog post I told you all I would share some of my favorite ways to stay active. I hope these tips encourage y’all to get out and get your blood flowing. Before I get to my favorite exercises I want to remind everyone that not every type of exercise is meant for everyone. I have found the ones that work best for me and my main piece of advice is to keep going and persist on.
For awhile now my workout routine has remained pretty consistent. Consistency is a big thing in my life and so my workout schedule and routines have followed that path as well. I generally begin my week doing a workout routine at the gym, and I found this amazing app called “Butt Workout”. The app takes you through each movement with additional instructions if you are not sure about how the movement is done. The app will give you a warning when you’re half way there, and then another count down when you have 5 seconds left. After that it will announce what the next workout is. The movements are directed towards toning your butt, thighs, and abs. They have different workouts, which are categorized by the duration of the workout. After I have finished that workout, I like to finish up with 5 minutes of lifting a 5 or 10 pound weight, usually doing shoulder lifts and over the head lifts. Lastly, I take 5 minutes to walk on the stair master at level 7 and 8.

For the second half of the week I like to take my workout outdoors. I will either take my “Butt Workout” and hit the park or enjoy a nice jog or run early in the morning. Running is personally not always the easiest thing for me, and I have learned that it is definitely a mental thing. My boyfriend has been a runner for most of his life and honestly he is my inspiration to keep going. We will go out to the park together and just seeing how he can handle any run makes me strive to be better. My runs generally last anywhere between 15-30 minutes so for the remainder of my workout I will do jumping jacks, lunges, squats, and half squats for an additional 15 minutes.
The piece of advice I want to stick with y’all the most is that the important thing is going out and moving your body. Whether you are going on a stroll through the park or doing an intense, sweat in every bit of clothing you are wearing it does not matter. The reason to workout and exercise is to feel good and get your body up and moving. I have been wanting to try other types of exercises as well and will post about those too!
I hope all of you enjoy the read and please leave any comments of workouts or exercises you enjoy doing. I am always looking to add some variation into my week.
Stay healthy & happy!
XO Hannah
